Skala was a small fishing village that has grown up into a modern seaside town with a lot of facilities and attractions for visitors. Skala has a lot of greek traditional tavernas, sophisticated cocktail bars and a breathtaking 3-kilometer sandy beach. The best thing about Skala is that it offers absolutely everything any visitor needs with plenty of restaurants (from budget friendly taverns to gourmet restaurants), many of which have lovely views of the Ionian sea and there are also plenty of bars, souvenir shops, super markets etc. Our Hotel is 100 meters from the beach and a 3 minute walk from the center of the town (rated 9.6/10 for location on booking.com).

Best hotel in Skala. Everything about this hotel was amazing, from the arrival with the lovely staff hosting us, to the breakfast, rooms, location and vibe. Can only recommend staying at this hotel. If we are ever in Kefalonia again, we will 100% be staying here 🙂
Amazing and relaxed stay at modern Hotel Skala. The location was perfect – 5 mins walk from the main strip; the deluxe suite we had was huge and the bathroom was amazing – so much space and a fab wrap around balcony; beach was within walking distance and so many hotels and bars nearby!
We have taken 5 holidays this year all cost nearly double what we paid to stay here and this was by far the best.
Extraordinary friendly and comfortable hotel. The location is nearby a beautiful beach. the rooms are very clean, excellent bed, equipped with Nespresso machine, water boiler (tea), latest LG tv, excellent WiFi, airconditioned per room, sound proof windows, refrigerator.. nothing left to wish for .. hairdryers ….
Would like to thank owner and staff, they made us feeling at home! We are very happy of the overall experience and will certainly return. Skala Hotel offers brand new interiors well furnished with updated technology and great wi-fi. Very clean and nice. Would definitely recommend it for a trip to Cefalonia. Great position near the beach and near the center without noise. Nice balcony and very kind owners and staff, always ready to satisfy any need.
